Scottish procurement strategy offers opportunities
Social Security Scotland has published its Corporate Procurement Strategy for 2021-2023 and it gives details of forthcoming contract opportunities.
It follows detailed work over a number of months with the Head Of Procurement for the recently formed Social Security Directorate, Natalie McCrindle, and the Procurement Team at Social Security Scotland which enabled BASE to collaborate on this recently launched Social Security Corporate Procurement Strategy. These type of awards are evidenced-based examples of the Scottish Government's Sustainable Procurement Duty and Supported Business Frameworks contributing to creating sustainable employment opportunities for disabled or disadvantage people across Scotland. The Frameworks were originally developed in 2012 following close working between BASE and the Scottish Government's Procurement Directorate.
