Who is the course for?

The Certificate is suitable for job coaches and specialist employment support staff within Supported Employment services, providers of employment programmes, further education colleges, NHS Trusts and social enterprises. Learners must be supporting a jobseeker to secure employment and must have opportunities to demonstrate the required evidence through engagement with employers and jobseekers.

What does the course involve?

The course normally involves group sessions organised over 4 blocks of 2 days and currently, the training is delivered online using Teams/Zoom across 8 sessions .

Participants will need to complete a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate how they have applied the underpinning knowledge and skills listed in the National Occupational Standards for Supported Employment. Many of the learning outcomes will require assessment in the workplace so all learners must be able to demonstrate their practice with jobseekers and employers. The group sessions will be delivered over a 6 month period and participants are expected to complete their portfolios within 12 months. This may be extended to 24 months on payment of an additional fee of £200+vat.

The course is organised around six individual units. You can find details of what they contain on the course specification attached below.

What will it cost?
