Launch of a national Individual Placement Support recruitment hub

In the Long Term Plan (LTP), the NHS has committed to supporting 55,000 people with severe mental illness (SMI) through IPS services by 2023/24. Through increasing access to IPS there is a need to expand the IPS workforce to 1225 employment specialists and 205 team leaders by 2023/24 accordingly.

A national IPS recruitment landing page with job alerts has now launched to meet the high demands from services to support the attraction of recruits into a career in IPS. The landing page has been designed to act as a central hub for all IPS related vacancies, to send job alerts to prospective applicants when vacancies arise in their local area, and host a series of insight events and FAQs to the public to find out more about a career in IPS.

This recruitment hub forms part of recent workforce initiatives such as the new Individual Placement Support (IPS) career resource which Health Education England launched in the summer.
