All the parties have now published their manifestos in readiness for the general election. We've picked out some of the key points from each of them but our advice is to read each of them in detail before deciding where to place your vote.

PeoplePlus is looking for partners who share their vision, values and commitment to delivering high performing services that transform people’s lives, building on their existing Justice partner network to deliver the Unpaid Work, Accredited Programmes and Non-Accredited Structured Interventions elements of the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) Probation Delivery Partner Contract. They will issue further call’s for partners for the Dynamic Framework once they have reviewed the specification.

BASE held its annual conference in Manchester on 5-6 November. The event was attended by 160 people and featured a range of speakers and workshops. We're pleased with the feedback received and would like to thank all who contributred to making it such a success. The conference closed with a witty and insightful contribution from Francesca Martinez. Next year's conference has been announced and will be in Leicester on 11-12 November 2020.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is organising a series of engagement events to support the development of the Local Supported Employment (LSE) Trial.  This trial builds on the proof of concept DWP recently delivered in partnership with 9 Local Authorities in 2018, to further test whether DWP, in partnership with LAs, is able to increase the delivery of high quality supported employment for people with a learning disability or autism, who are known to adult social care or those in contact with secondary mental health services.
