The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Youth Employment has published its report after the inquiry into the Chancellor's Plan for Jobs Covid-19 measures. BASE submitted evidence to the inquiry and raised the critical support needs of young people with SEND.

The report doesn't specifically reference disability or SEND which we find very disappointing. BASE will contionue to press for appropriate support and we are part of the Youth Employment Group.

Youth Employment UK has now created a Kickstart Guide for Employers to help support and advise them to create a good quality Kickstart Programme for the Candidate.

This resource has been created by Youth Employment UK to support employers and gateway organisations looking to create Kickstart Programmes. We have consulted with the young people in our network to explore what a good Kickstart Programme would look like to them and have embedded their views into this guidance.
