This paper describes a peer support model for young people in employment and reports the findings of an evaluation of a specific peer support project in Stockport. The analysis reveals that peer support models can benefit young people seeking employment. Issues of implementation and family involvement are highlighted. In relation to the host programme, Getting a Life, it highlights the need for detailed model building and practice guidance in developing employment pathways for young people in transition.
