The Resolution Foundation has published a report examining the retention of jobs for people with disabilities. The report finds that the odds of people with disabilities who have been unemployed for more than a year returning to work diminish at twice the rate of non-disabled people. The report, Retention Deficit, calls on the government to revise its “seriously misguided” policy focus on disabled people on benefits.

The London Borough of Merton is seeking to appoint a provider to develop a framework and programme to assist and work with residents who have disabilities and assist them into employment. We have no further information on this opportunity.


Enfield's Skills for Work Service is looking to recruit a pool of Job Coaches to support young people (16-24 year olds) with a disability on the supported internship programme. They are inviting expressions of interest for this opportunity.

Details of the tender process for the new £130m Work and Health Programme were discussed at provider meetings in London and Birmingham last week. The programme is scheduled to begin in October 2017.

The programme will be co-commissioned in Manchester and London and co-designed with Liverpool, North East England, Tees Valley, Sheffield, West Midlands, Cardiff, East Anglia and West of England.
