bemix

bemix

bemix, formerly known as Skillnet Group, is a social enterprise working with people with learning difficulties. Any profit we make is re-invested to support our work and local communities.

bemix offers a business support service to help employers recruit and retain a diverse workforce, including people with learning difficulties. This means a mix of staff that better reflects wider society.

Our job-matching services are FREE

By working with us, you can save yourself advertising and agency fees and all the time it takes to sift through large numbers of unsuitable applicants. We guarantee no catches, no hidden costs!

Your business needs come FIRST

Our top priority is to take the time to fully understand what you need from your staff. We do this to present people who really do match your staffing needs.

We minimise the risks to you in taking on new staff

We support you with a ‘try before you hire’ approach, arranging unpaid work trials and working interviews. You can then make a well-informed decision about whether or not to offer the job.

Our approach raises staff retention

We support you and your new employee into their probation period and beyond as needed. Minimising early drop-out, we keep in touch and are committed to your ongoing success together.

We support with adjustments to help your employee succeed

If you need it, we help access funding to make reasonable adjustments to your working environment so your new employee performs to their full potential. We advise on compliance with disability legislation.

We know our candidates very well

We conduct an in-depth profile of our candidates before we match them to vacancies. By investing in understanding both your business and our candidates, a really great match can be made.

We help enhance company image and Corporate Social Responsibility

A diverse workforce is great for staff morale and your wider reputation. People want to buy from businesses that are inclusive and socially-minded. Using a diverse workforce to improve products and services leads to a diverse customer base. People with disabilities spend £80 billion a year – great for business!

And don’t forget, our service is completely free!

The Supported Internships programme support young people, aged between 16 – 24 with learning disabilities or autism, who have an Education, Health and Care Plan in place. Most important is that the young person wants to work!

The Supported Employment programme is currently on-hold, more information to follow when it re-launches.
