Southdown Housing Association

Southdown Housing Supported Employment

If you are unemployed and have mental health challenges, we can help you overcome barriers that are preventing you from accessing work and secure or retain employment that suits your needs.

We provide a range of services that provide support through an approach called Individual Placement and Support (IPS), recognised as best practice by the Centre for Mental Health.

To ensure our support is joined-up, we work in partnership with the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s mental health clinical teams. We also work with local Job Centres and employers to increase opportunities for people with mental health challenges to secure and retain employment.

All our services are free and available for people aged 18 and over (some can also be accessed by young people aged 16 and over). Please note: eligibility and access to our services varies depending on how support has been commissioned. More information is available at https://www.southdown.org/how-we-help/employment-support
