London Borough of Hackney

Hackney Recruitment Partnership (HRP) is a small supported employment agency working with learning disabled job seekers in Hackney, east London. We offer the following services:

Transition: working with local learning disabled school students on a work taster and work experience programme with local partners.

Progression: working with local education and training providers to ensure meaningful learning opportunities for learning disabled job seekers.

Employment: working with local learning disabled job seekers and supporting them to gain and retain paid employment.

Development: working with local employers to develop employment and training opportunities for learning disabled job seekers in Hackney. Offering free support to local employers to encourage diverse recruitment, including giving disability awareness raising sessions. Presenting at events such as the Westminster briefing on Valuing People Now One Year On.

Until October 2010 we held the London Borough Hackney Workstep contract. In February 2010 Ofsted graded this provision as ‘Good’.
