Highland BlindCraft
Highland BlindCraft is a charitable company limited by guarantee and provides training and sustainable employment to blind and partially sighted people, as well as people with other disabilities.
These core principles go back more than 140 years to when Highland BlindCraft was first started to provide employment for people from the Blind School in Inverness.
Since then, Highland BlindCraft has been through a number of organisational changes, including becoming a charitable company and expanding into a showroom in order to sell directly to the public and bring sales and manufacturing into one base.
Today, Highland BlindCraft offers employment to people with a range of disabilities and currently employs 20 supported and 4 unsupported staff.

The company’s product range has expanded significantly to include not only beds, for which we are well known, but chairs, headboards and a small range of quality, contemporary furniture.
All our beds are handmade and come with a 5-year guarantee and all our products comply with industry standards and safety requirements. Our ability to make mattresses, bed base, headboards and footstools to a customer’s specific requirements sets us apart from our competitors.
