Safe Opportunities
Safe Opportunities offers local young people a range of employability programmes and pathways to support them into paid work. We do this by creating robust links with employers and working with local companies to support them with corporate social responsibilities and recruitment. The team possess a unique range of skills, experience and qualities to ensure they can delicately navigate their way through the challenges of negotiating employment for students with SEN/complex autism. Safe Opportunities Post 16 Specialist Work-based Provision leads the way nationally for students with complex autism. We lead a Vulnerable Learner’s Group to implement local supported employability strategies and are involved in policies change such as the new Access to Work Plus programme.
We offer alternative provision employment options for school years 10 and 11, a Step16 programme for post 16 students and a post 19 Supported Internship programme.
