The Mason Foundation

Propel

The Mason Foundation was established in 2017 by our founder Stephen Mason. Stephen, born with a disability himself, was only too aware of the many barriers that can exist for so many groups within society, which make participating in mainstream activities more difficult. Stephen is hugely passionate about championing inclusivity and was driven to create opportunities for everyone, supporting those who need help the most.

He wanted to provide opportunities to support individuals and families from all walks of life, focusing on those who may face additional challenges. Stephen set up The Mason Foundation to remove barriers, provide opportunities to build lasting friendships, and celebrate inclusivity. His mission is centred around reducing inequalities and helping everyone live happy, healthy, active, and fulfilled lives.

Propel was established to support young adults with learning disabilities to access and thrive in meaningful and sustainable employment. Propel is a specialist training, consultancy, and recruitment provider, tailored to empower and support both young people preparing to access employment, and those employers who will be providing the work opportunities. With only 5.1% of UK adults with a learning disability in paid employment, Propel aims to reverse this trend by supporting every part of a young person’s journey into the right employment. Propel provides businesses with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) consultancy, training and recruitment; supporting them to offer opportunities and employment to young adults with SEND.

The Mason Foundation are currently operating in London, Essex, Kent and the West Midlands.
