Beacon Films CIC

Beacon Films is a production and training company of disabled, autistic and neurodivergent filmmakers, based in Newcastle upon Tyne. We create and exhibit award-winning films to global audiences and challenge misconceptions of disability through our talent and creativity.

Beacon Films supports aspiring filmmakers to take their first steps into the screen industry through supported employment, whilst enabling more experienced filmmakers to establish freelance careers. Our clients have included the NHS, Northumbria University, ITV, Tyne and Wear Museums, Historic England and BASE.

By commissioning Beacon Films, not only do clients get a film that is unique, entertaining, informative and made to a high standard. They are also investing in our filmmakers' outstanding talents for the future.   

Services we offer

Production: We make films for organisations to use on social media, on websites and at conferences.

Access Production: We add captioning, BSL interpretation, and audio description to video content.

Workshops: We work collaboratively with other groups of Disabled, Autistic and Neurodivergent people to create engaging video content.

We work UK wide but with a focus on North East England
