We didn't promote these awards in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic but you can view details of the 2019 winners.

BASE’s 11th annual awards recognise and celebrate outstanding practice in the field of supported employment in the UK.  Their focus is on promoting the remarkable work that goes on across the country to help people with disabilities and other disadvantages get the support they need to achieve their work aspirations and retain paid employment.

Who can nominate?

Jobseekers and employees, families and carers, employers, supported employment agencies, advocates, colleagues, managers or delivery partners can all nominate individuals, teams and employers for these awards.

How can I nominate someone?

You can nominate someone by completing the on-line nomination form.  You can include links to any video evidence if this can be viewed on-line.  If you are unable to complete the on-line form, please contact us for an alternative format.  Nominees will be short-listed and further information will be requested if they get to this stage.   Entries must have been received by 17 September 2021.

Is there a prize?

The Practitioner of the Year Awards carries a prize of £500. All award winners will receive a certificate and trophy. The awards will be presented at the 2021 BASE conference dinner in Brighton on the 9th of November, and winners will be offered overnight accommodation for themselves and a guest at the Jurys Inn Waterfront.
