The deputy head of Supported Employment role is an exciting new position at Little Gate, you will be enabling learning disabled adults and adults with autism to make significant personal progress into paid employment through various routes.

This is a senior role and you will manage the day to day running of the supported employment program and grow the supported employment program across county. In line with our mission, ethos, values of our program.

You will need to have a passion of growing people to achieve their highest potential, and passionately believe that employment can transform lives. You will lead on several projects and be involved in shaping the direction of the program. Our aim is to provide the highest standard of supported employment to enable the adults and young people we serve to reach their potential and go into paid employment.

You will work as part of a highly supportive team, and full on-going training and a thorough induction will be given. Little Gate is a small but ambitious charity that is addressing the inequality that befalls many adults with learning disabilities and autism.

 

Essential qualities:

  • Passionate about enabling adults with learning disabilities and autism to fulfil their potential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and experience in motivating, developing and leading teams
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Be able to motivate and inspire
  • Organised and systematic
  • Great networking skills are required and relationship building with organisations
  • Flexible, and able to adapt quickly
  • Full driving licence

Desired Experience in:

  • Experience of working with people with learning disabilities or autism
  • Experience of working within education
  • Experience of working with young people going into paid work
  • This is a new post, full training and support will be given.
