Training Using Systematic Instruction Award (Level 3 Certificate)

What does the TSI Course cover

The OAL Level 3 Award in Training Using Systematic Instruction is to introduce the learner, who is working in the supported employment sector as a job coach, to the skills, knowledge, and understanding of systematic instruction in the workplace.

This qualification is compiled of three units, all must be completed to achieve:
  • A/651/4335 - Principles of Systematic Instruction
  • D/651/4336 - Training Strategies, Techniques & Tools for Systematic Instruction
  • F/651/4337 - Delivering Training Using Systematic Instruction 
This qualification is assessed via a portfolio of evidence which will include workbooks, work products, observations and professional discussions 

Eligibility criteria for the TSI Course

  • Be aged 19 years plus.
  • Work in the supported employment sector as a job coach or have job coaching as one of your roles.
  • Have access to a relevant workplace in order to meet the assessment requirements.
  • Have relevant experience in the supported employment sector as a job coach and relevant continuous professional development.

How will the course be delivered?

In-person : the course will be delivered in two blocks over a total 5 full days 
Block One : 3 consecutive days and Block Two: 2 consecutive days approx. 4 weeks later 

Online : it is intended that this version of the will comprise 5 days of training delivered over a period of 4 weeks. This course is in the development stage
