Established in 2006, BASE is a charitable membership association funded mainly through membership subscriptions and donations
from it's trading company, Inclusive Trading CIC.
The BASE membership is divided into seven regions comprising Scotland, North East, North West, Midlands, Wales, South West and South East. Each of these regions elect a National Executive Representative as a trustee to sit
on the Board of BASE.
BASE is managed by a board of trustees also known as the National Executive Committee (NEC) which is made up of volunteers from the membership who have experience of supported employment/ inclusive recruitment with a small staff team running the organisation on a daily basis.
The board comprises the Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, the seven regional representatives as well as five specialist roles: European Lead, National Employer Lead, Supported Business Lead, Commissioning Lead and Expert by Experience.
