We have received two nominations for the role of NEC Representative for the Wales region:

Kim Killow and Petra Kennedy 

and  one nomination for the role of chair:

Petra Kennedy

As a result we will be holding an election meeting on 18th June 2025. 

This meeting is open to all BASE members who are full members and have paid their current membership subscription.

If you are unsure whether you are allowed to participate in this meeting please email membership@base-uk.org for clarification. 

Please try to attend this meeting as the Memorandum and Articles of Association for BASE require that we have a minimum number of members to participate in the process of electing a new representative.

Each member organisation is entitled to one vote per organisation at the election meeting regardless of the size of the organisation, so if you can ensure that at least one person from your organisation attends it would be appreciated.  

However we will welcome anyone member of BASE who is interested in hearing what the candidates have to say at the meeting. Attached is a pdf document which includes the nomination info that has been submitted by each of the candidates for your perusal prior to the meeting

At the meeting on 18th June 2025, each candidate will have 5 minutes to speak to the members of the meeting about why they're keen to represent the region. After this, the nominees will leave the meeting, and a vote will take place to establish the duly elected NEC representative/Chair.
