Jobcentre Plus

The Department for Work and Pensions has announced that 15 Jobcentre Plus sites will be testing an autism framework, designed with the National Autistic Society (NAS), to transform the service available to jobseekers on the autism spectrum. The framework pilot will aim to help people with autism find, retain and progress in fulfilling jobs.

DWP has issued an invitation to tender for an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Accreditation Pilot. The Invitation to Tender (ITT 21630) is available to view on the Bravo Solution website and closes on 20 September.

The Work and Pensions Committee has published a report on its inquiry into the Disability Employment Gap. BASE gave oral evidence to the committee and we welcome its findings.

The Department for Work and Pensions is organising a market engagement event for an Autism Accreditation Contract. They are seeking a provider that is well experienced in working with people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and highly experienced in developing accreditations.

Providers must register at http://bravosolution.co.uk and upload a Pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) before submitting details of their offer. It is recomended that providers seeking to upload Supported Employment as a single intervention enter it as one of the routeway provisions.
