Norfolk Industries for Disabled People

Norfolk Industries is an ISO9001 quality registered community interest company employing disabled people and manufacturing Small Animal Pet Bedding products. We are committed to providing a quality product made by people with various disabilities whilst also supplying value for money.   Hence our tag line “Think workability, not disability”.

Now part of Independence Matters CIC, Norfolk Industries is currently operating as a Social Enterprise. Having been remodelled early 2012 by Norfolk County Council, the business is now operating on a break even basis compared to higher costs previously.

Utilising waste materials from the newspaper and food industries, as well as specially ordered raw materials, Norfolk Industries produces pet bedding products for small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, rats, mice and hamsters amongst others.

Products can be designed to suit all commercial requirements, such as shredding lengths, types of materials, bespoke packaging design and point of sale cartons.

Currently facilitating some of the largest contracts in the UK such as Pets at Home, Tesco and Asda, as well as exporting to Spain, Norfolk Industries is currently growing the business to generate future profits which will be reinvested back into the business to enable us to provide employment and support to more disabled people locally.
