Little Gate webinar on Inclusive Apprenticeships

Little Gate Supported Employment are delivering a webinar to discuss how they developed their very own supported apprenticeship provision. The event takes place at 1pm on 16 November and booking details are available at Eventbrite. Please note that attendance will be capped at 40 attendees.

The Maynard Review (2016) introduced inclusive apprenticeships by lowering the academic requirements that apprentices must achieve to Entry Level 3 in maths and English. These apprenticeships offer young disabled people who have an education, health and care plan (EHCP) an effective pathway into paid employment.

Little Gate Farm was keen to see how they could use the changes in legislation to offer inclusive (supported) apprenticeships across East Sussex and Kent.

Hear how they work closely with specialist education providers, employers and the apprentices themselves. The webinar will explore how funding streams such as, The National Lottery Reaching Communities funding, Access to Work, ESFA and working with the Local Authority, were harnessed in order to create such provision.

The webinar will detail the challenges Little Gate Supported Employment has faced in setting up their supported apprenticeship provision, along with, most importantly, the extremely fruitful outcomes which have been nurtured in the past three years. There will be ample time for questions and answers and the webinar will be as interactive and conversational as possible.
