IPES procurement underway with a tight deadline

Members should be aware that DWP has issued procurement information about the new Intensive Personalised Employment Support (IPES) programme through the Umbrella Framework. The documentation went out last week and prime providers have a very tight deadline of 29 March to submit their bids. Members may want to approach potential bidders to discuss subcontracting opportunities.

The Umbrella Framework is only open to large providers and we understand that the IPES contracts will be regional covering the same areas as the Work and Health Programme.

The Intensive Personalised Employment Support (IPES) programme will provide highly personalised packages of employment support for people who are at least a year away from moving into work, allowing for up to 21 months of support, including six months once in work.  The scheme is expected to support around 10,000 people from its £40m budget.
