Employer conference on recruiting people with a criminal record
The City of London Corporation and The Corbett Network are organising an employer event regarding the recruitment of people who have a criminal record. The conference takes place at the Mansion House, London on 23 September.
Over 11 million people in the UK have a criminal record. They possess a wide range of skills, qualifications and experience which employers need and from which they and their company can benefit.
The conference is aimed at employers and HR professionals and asks employers to give just one person a job, someone who is the right fit for their company. This free briefing and networking event will provide employers with the necessary tools, confidence and support needed to access this talent pool.
By the end of this event you will:
• Understand how to recruit from a wider pool of potential talent.
• Be able to improve the diversity of your work force.
• Understand how to minimise any risks that might be involved.
• Understand when and how you can request criminal record checks in light of new data protection legislation.
• Learn how to avoid unnecessary failed recruitment costs.
• Discover the innovative approaches to filling vacancies being pioneered in other sectors.
• Find out how to access further support from the Corbett Network.
• Have the opportunity to network with employers that have experience in this area.
