Audit: Do you provide mental health employment support?

NHS England is conducting an audit of organisations providing employment support for people using secondary mental health services. The audit will establish a baseline position prior to NHS England inviting bids for targeted investment in the expansion of IPS (Individual Placement and Support) provision later this year.

BASE has been asked not to make the audit documents public so please contact Zoe Morris at NHS England if you wish to complete the audit on behalf of your organisation. The audit is open until 18 August 2017.

The audit has also been circulated through NHS mental health trusts and to all local authority Chief Executives.

NHS England, through its Five Year Forward View for Mental Health has an aim of doubling access to IPS services by 2020/21. A letter is attached below from Julian Emms, Chair of the NHS Benchmarking Mental Health Reference Group.
