R2W offers a number of work, learning and employment support opportunities for people across Cumbria and North Lancashire; we have a dedicated staff team that work with over 200 people each year. We now offer a wide range of learning and development opportunities that includes:

Right2work has 3 main ways of undertaking this training and it is achieved by the following:
Right2Work – The Furniture Warehouse
The Furniture Warehouse offers Day Opportunity work training schemes for local people who are disabled or disadvantaged, providing people with the environment and support to learn new skills, understand the world of work and enable progression to sustainable employment opportunities.
At the Furniture Warehouse we collect and recycling unwanted furniture from residents throughout South Cumbria and, with a clear focus on recycling, reusing and by directing waste away from landfill we are doing our bit for a cleaner, greener planet.
Through sales, refurbishing and recycling we have been able to divert items destined for waste away from landfill and last year (2016/17) over 120 tons of waste was saved from entering landfill sites to put this into contact this is the same amount of 10 Double Decker buses ) and we are well on target to achieve similar results this year.
Right2Work – The Appleby Hub Café
The Trainees at the Appleby Hub are enjoying work experience in a busy real life working environment. They are working through a systematic training program where they cover the importance of all aspects of food hygiene and customer service. They work in the kitchen helping with food preparation and in the café itself serving our customers.
Right2Work – The Employment Team
Our employment team have been working and supporting people across Cumbria and North Lancashire delivering a number of new and exciting initiatives that all focus on getting people who want to work into work. The support we provide ranges from work tasters, work experience to securing that perfect job. We do this in a number of ways from classroom based learning to providing job coaching within the work place; we have a dedicated employer engagement officer who also works closely with employers offering support advice and guidance on employing someone with additional work place needs.
