We provide health services throughout a person’s life, covering community, sexual health, mental health, offender care and addictions services, in London, Milton Keynes, Surrey and beyond. Our employment services include:
The User Employment Programme
- Support in applying for paid employment within CNWL, with on-going support once people start work
- Work placements within CNWL in a range of roles, enabling people to re-train, update old skills, gain confidence and obtain a recent work reference; whilst continuing to receive support to find paid employment
Individual Placement and Support (IPS)
- Employment Specialists based in mental health teams work alongside clinicians to help people find paid employment. Research has shown that having an Employment Specialist integrated into clinical teams result in more people getting back to work.
- The service supports people with time unlimited in work support for as long as they feel they need it
- A key aspect of an Employment Specialist is building relationships with employers to access the ‘hidden’ labour market.
Employment support for people accessing inpatient rehabilitation service
- Our Employment Lead meets people at the inpatient until to help them explore options around employment, training, education and volunteering.
- Snapshot recovery and wellbeing courses are delivered with a focus on those relating to employment/vocation
Partnership with Recovery Services

- Committed to increasing our employment team by employing Peer Employment Specialist
Our service is available for people who are accessing CNWL mental health services in Brent, Harrow, Hillingdon, Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster and Milton Keynes.
