Senior Project Leader (Little Gate Farm)

Salary: £19,136 to £23,920 pro rata
Post: Permanent, Full-time or part-time considered

The senior Project Leader role is an exciting new position at Little Gate, you will be enabling learning disabled adults and adults with autism to make significant personal progress in preparation for paid employment.

This is a senior role and you will jointly manage the day to day running of the training program at the farm and ensure trainees are kept safe and adequately supervised and supported to achieve their potential, in line with our mission, ethos, values of our program.

You will need to have a passion of growing people to achieve their highest potential, and a keen interest in horticulture/animal care/catering or office. You will lead on several projects and be involved in shaping the direction of the program. Our aim is to provide the highest standard of aspirational learning that truly enables the adults we serve to reach their potential and go into paid employment.

You will work as part of a highly supportive team, and full on-going training and a thorough induction will be given. Little Gate is a small but ambitious charity that is addressing the inequality that befalls many adults with learning disabilities and autism.

Essential qualities :

  • Passionate about enabling adults with learning disabilities and autism to fulfill their potential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and experience in motivating teams
  • Teaching trainees employment skills and helping them work towards their specific goals.
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Understanding of what learning looks like
  • Organised and systematic
  • Enjoy a varied role
  • Flexible, and able to adapt quickly
  • Full driving licence

Desired Experience in:

  • Experience of working with people with learning disabilities or autism
  • A variety of different working environments
  • Enterprise/retail
  • Teaching

This is a new post, full training and support will be given.
