IAPT Employment Advisers (Status Employment)

Salary: £28,000 pro rata
Posts: 2 full-time posts, 1 part-time post. Contract role funded until March 2022
Location: Lambeth

Are you interested in supporting people who have, or are recovering from, mental health challenges; experiencing barriers affecting their ability to move towards, or stay in, paid employment? Do you have what it takes to join a team of individuals that prides themselves on professionalism, values and hard work to make a real difference to people's lives?

Status Employment are looking for IAPT Employment Avisors to start work as soon as possible. A full-time role is 35 hours a week over 5 days to join our established team and part time hours to be discussed. Currently these positions are remote working. In future, we hope this will be a mixture of working in our Lambeth offices as well as working remotely.

Working alongside Lambeth Talking Therapies

The Lambeth Talking Therapies programme provides short term therapy for people with common mental health needs such as anxiety or depression. Status Employment has been the Partner of Choice since IAPT started in Lambeth in 2009. We work closely within this integrated health team, to provide a short term holistic and person-centered service. As with therapy, the intervention is short term, typically 2-4 months but varies depending on the need of our client. Joining our established team, you will be working with clients to understand and overcome their barriers to employment, supporting them to achieve their employment aspirations.

This is a great opportunity to be part of an organisation that is passionate about the value of employment towards our well-being. We are a close-knit, ambitious team, committed to learning and developing and adding value to the clients we support.

As an Employment Adviser you will provide advice, guidance and support for clients who are:

  • Off sick and wishing to return to work
  • Retaining employment
  • Seeking employment

You will work collaboratively with clients, therapists and employers to deliver best outcomes. Supporting the client to devise a strategy to help them move forward with employment needs, you will deliver job seeking, CV and Interview workshops, develop an effective knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and support job applications. Ability to use technology is crucial - currently all of our sessions are over the phone or online and we use our database to capture data at every point of contact.
