Employment Programme Coordinator - 3 Ships (Mencap)

Salary: £27,540 per annum + excellent training & benefits
Post: Permanent, 37.5 hrs/wk
Location: Birmingham


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and self-motivated person to manage our new Birmingham Supported Internship Programme and join our “3 Ships” programmes within our Lifestyle and Work team.

The 3 Ships are Mencap’s education based programmes for supporting people with a learning disability to move closer to the job market and gain employment. The 3 Ships are Supported Internships, Traineeships and Apprenticeships.

The successful candidate will lead and manage Tutors and Caseworkers for Supported Internships, to support delivery of the programme. They will ensure that the programme is delivered to the agreed curriculum, frameworks and methodology and ensure they meet internal and external standards for quality and impact. This includes Ofsted and ESFA criteria.

This position is full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday.  This is a permanent contract and the role is based in Birmingham, West Midlands.
