Employer Relationship Worker (Wigan Council)

Salary: From £11,742
Post: Permanent, part-time (18.5 hours/week)
Location: Wigan


You will work in partnership with local employers and businesses to build up their knowledge and awareness of inclusive practice by advocating for inclusive workplaces, providing information and guidance to managers, delivering awareness training, and conducting accessibility audits. You will play an integral part in breaking down barriers, provide creative solutions and change perceptions to highlight the benefits of employing individuals with a disability. You will need to understand individual business needs, tailor support packages accordingly, and source suitable local vacancies for specific individuals.

You will have a good understanding of the local employment market and reasonable adjustments, be proactive in networking locally, and be confident to source suitable vacancies. You will require the ability to build and maintain strong and trusted relationships with employers, pursuing a positive outcome for all.
