Social Enterprise Mark conference

19/06/19 09:30 to 20/06/19 16:00

The Social Enterprise Mark CIC annual conference, which is being hosted by Aston University on 19th & 20th June, will challenge the status quo to consider alternative economic models, which can create a fairer and more equitable system of growth. There is an exciting line-up of speakers, including Alex Maitland of Oxfam, Megan Peat of RBS Social & Community Capital, Dr Pragya Agarwal of The Art Tiffin, Paul Devoy of Investors in People and Nigel Kershaw of the Big Issue Group.

The event will address some challenging questions:

  • How can we support social enterprises to win more business?
  • How can we shift to a more human economy?
  • Have we got the right financial tools to support sustainable growth?
  • How can we tackle inequality to ensure diversity in social enterprise?
  • Certification; a short-cut for business growth or a process that helps support the ‘right’ kind of business sustainability?

There will also be a workshop, led by Martin Davies of the Supported Business Steering Group, looking at how social enterprises (and other businesses) can employ more disabled people.

All are welcome – tickets are available to book online:
