Valuing People Now Programme
Valuing People Now is the cross-Government strategy to radically increase the number of people with moderate to severe learning disabilities in paid employment by 2025. This will be achieved by:
- Raising aspirations amongst young people with learning disabilities and their families
- Raising the expectations of maternity services, education, job centres, health and social care professionals
- Changing the attitudes of employers, and
- making employment support systems more accessible and flexible
