Looking to the Future is sponsored by Newcastle City Council and the University of Northumbria's Centre for Public Policy. The Centre for Public Policy (CPP) is a freestanding self-funding research centre within the School of Arts and Social Sciences. CPP was officially launched in September 2002 by the Rt Hon Nick Raynsford, Minister of State for Local Government and the Regions. It was the first research centre in the North East to specifically focus on public policy and governance issues.
