Organised by the ROSE project, this major national conference on supported employment for people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities aims to spread best practice, address the key obstacles faced by students and providers and look at the what the future holds, particularly in the context of changes to funding and the Foundation Learning Tier. It will include inputs from policy makers, specialist consultants, employers, practitioners, students and parents. It is appropriate for all managers, organisers, tutors and coaches who are involved or interested in supporting the vocational preparation of people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Making Employment Work

The British Association for Supported Employment has got together with the British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD) and the Valuing People Team to organise this one day conference. This event will pick up on the Government's learning disability employment strategy. It brings together national speakers to highlight the essential messages from government and employers, together with workshops that explore research and examples of innovative practice.
